With regards to the follwoing note posted on 22 Feb.--

I believe that you will find Miss Lavender
in a book by Rumer Godden.  She is a doll
and so is Miss Peach.  I'm not sure of
the title of the work...  It might be
something like the Doll's house...

I have just been through "The Doll's House" by Rummer Godden and there is
no Miss Lavender as a character, nor does Miss Peach.
They must be in another book about dolls. They are not in his "Impunity
Jane", either.
