?: eliminate vertical file?

I'm wondering how other media specialists feel about the vertical file -
do you use them or have you eliminated them? Are they valuable? Is it
worthwhile to maintain them - - - or has the World Wide Web eliminated
the need for such materials?

I would love some input - what are the rest of you doing?
