Thank you Calvin Ross for introducing this topic on LM_NET, I was unable to join the discussion on Sig.EDTECH because I caught the discussion at the end of it. I've had few problems with providing both platforms to students in our junior high school Media Center, other than the fact that students need training and direction for either platforms, when it comes time to save their work to a particular directory/folder and other tasks. I have noticed that even students who have computers at home often cannot perform simple tasks. However, rather than be concerned about confusing students with multiple platforms, I believe it is essential to offer both, and especially the Windows platform. At the high school level I would think a school would be quite remiss ;-) if they did not offer the Windows platform to their students. <mwebster@anderson.sc.fred.org> ---------------- 34.31.15N, 82.39.25E Media Specialist 7-8 at Pendleton Junior High School, Pendleton, SC Also SERVE address: mark.webster@bbs.serve.org
