I loved Jumanji, what I saw of it. My husband and I took turns going out with our four year old because it was too much for her. Even my 8 year old was nervous, although she enjoyed it. I had heard it was ok for small kids, and maybe mine is extra sensitive, but I would not recommend it for someone who gets scared easily. We saw Balto twice and all enjoyed it. We have The Bravest Dog Ever and read it before and after the movie because the movie is so far from the truth. I have ordered another nonfiction book about Balto, but have not found any nonfiction about him other than that. Since the Iditarod is coming up, we should get some nonfiction into the kids' hands. I know there is a bibliography in the archives, if you go though the AskERIC gopher (ericir.syr.edu) or web site (http://ericir.syr.edu). Blythe Bennett babennet@mailbox.syr.edu
