First of all, I would like to thank all of you who came to my rescue with the Children's Writing and Publishing problem. Many people suggested Copy II Plus (if I can find it) and one person offered such a logical and simple solution that, if it works, I will ask permission to post! Both our computer specialist and the Apple dealer were impressed! MEANWHILE...I now have a parent of a very gifted fifth grade reader who has asked if there isn't some source she can consult for suggestions of authors who write "meatier" and "more challenging" fiction without exposing her son to a lot of sex and violence. I said I'd be glad to consult the best source I know--all of you! I'd like to amaze her, the principal, and the reading specialist with a quality list of authors. Reading level is not an issue--content is. He has read (how well I know!) nearly everything I have to offer him in every possible genre. Suggestions? I'll post a HIT if there is interest.
