I have been subscribing to Current Leaders for four years now, and
like it a lot.  It is updated several times during the year, as countries
get new leaders -- thus the title.  While basic information about the
country is given, the emphasis is on the leader and the political
background of the country.  A map is included with each country.
It is indeed only $50 a year to keep getting the updates.
