                Announcing the Colon Cancer Mailing List

The purpose of the Colon list is to encourage discussion amongst patients
of Colon Cancer, their loved ones, and caregivers.  Discussion will be of
treatments and the effect of treatments as well as diseases related to
colon cancer.  Please distribute this announcement (but keep it intact).

The list is unmoderated at the present time.   Its owner is Marshall
Kragen, a 13 year survivor of colon cancer, and Internet liaison of the
National Coalition for Cancer Survivorship.  Marshall is joined by Kevin
Sinclair, an Internet Hobbyist who assists with the listserv side of things.

When you subscribe to this listserv you will get a copy of every message
sent by all the other subscribers because they will be forwarded by a
central computer for quick, electronic distribution to everyone on the
list.  Anyone may join, and it is free to use - there are no fees.  Also,
the list is run entirely by volunteers.

When your subscription is processed you will get a welcome message with
detailed instructions on how to manage your subscription, including how
to set your mail to 'digest' mode, with which you get just one email a
day that summarizes all the day's Colon email.

If you are inclined, please send a message to the list to introduce
yourself, after your subscription starts.  This is not required; but it
will make it easier for you to meet people.
