The Guam Department of Education is recruiting teachers, librarians, speech therapists, special ed. teachers, and counselors(I think) and has set up a tentative recruiting schedule for the following cities--pending imminent approval by the Director. If you are interested in getting teaching experience in a multi-cultural environment, meeting friendly people and making great friends, and enjoying warm weather and beach/scuba activities all year round, please get in touch with me. We need at least 9 librarians due to several retirements or transfers which is why I have volunteered to post this info. on LM_NET. If you are interested in talking to the recruiting team, please send me your name, address, phone/fax numbers, and if you are not a librarian, what you are certified to teach. Although I will leave answering all questions regarding salary, relocation benefits, health insurance, etc. to the official recruiters, I would be happy to answer quality of life questions for you. As with any location or job situation, there are both pros and cons. Here is the tentative schedule--subject to approval by the Director. If you are interested, let me know and personnel will contact you with the exact information as soon as it is official. We know time is getting short and you need to make travel plans.
