I am taking an e-mail Telecommunications in Education course from my local
university, which is why I subscribed to this and other listservs (part of
course requirement ;-))

As a Media Specialist, I have a little knowledge of DOS as well as Mac. My
new home computer has Win 95. My Internet Service Provider's software
included Netscape 1.1 and the freeware version of Eudora Light, which is
what I have been using to e-mail to the list.

Today I became brave and tried to download Netscape 2.2 Gold for Win 95,
which -as far as I know- was successful. At least, I know it is somewhere
on my C drive under Netscape.New. NOW WHAT DO I DO? My plan was to either
replace the "old" netscape in Programs with the new, OR have both netscape
and "Netscape New" in programs. My ISP provider's "box" has an "Install
Netscape" icon which was used for the old Netscape. I haven't a clue how to
unzip (if necessary) and create a new Netscape icon under Programs, so I can
"click" on that version if I wish to.

I also downloaded 99% of the new version of Eudora for Windows 95 (from
TUCOWS website). At 99%, got Netscape window with message "Unable to
retrieve outside viewer" Choice was OK or Cancel. I clicked OK, and that
was that. I have to assume I received 99% of the file without that
all-critical viewer. Again, I haven't a clue as to what to do now. Hope
someone out there can help.
