On July 1, 1996, I asked for information regarding power for the Apple
QuickTake Camera 150. Following are excerpts from the responses I received. I
hope these responses may help some of the rest of you.
-------------------
Use lithium batteries They last for about 3 months depending on how many you
take.
-------------------
I bought a number of NI-CAD batters and keep exchanging them as needed, and
charging them. Whenever possible, we use the attachment.
-------------------
I was told that lithium batteries are supposed to be used with this camera
and that they last longer than the regular.
-------------------
There is a plug-in adapter for the QuickTake...contact your Apple Rep or
perhaps check in some of the catalogs like MacWarehouse, Learning Services,
etc.
-------------------
Did you purchase the battery booster pack with your QuickTake? I've used our
QuickTake camera for a full school year and never replaced the batteries. I
always have the kids use the AC power adaptor as soon as they come back to
the computer, so we don't usually have the camera on batteries alone for very
long. And we've not taken it on field trips either. But I've not had any
trouble keeping it going with the battery booster pack. I've also used a
QuickTake that had rechargeable batteries in it although mine has the
batteries that came with it still.
-------------------
We bought a battery power pack to help with this situation.
-------------------
I had been having trouble with our Quicktake in the battery department and
had replace the batteries to run into the same problem. Frustrated I opened
the battery section and discovered that one of them had strayed out of
contact--When I adjusted it the thing worked fine--Our students and I have
taken over six batches of 16 on the same batteries over a period of several
months so I thought you might want to try this.
-------------------
Didn't you get the charger and rechargeable batteries with your camera - if
you didn't you might want to reconsider because those batteries will keep
their charge quite a while.
-------------------
Stick with the same kind of batteries all the time.
