Houston school districts

Hi all!  My husband came home on Friday with the news of a job opening in
his company in Houston (near the Astrodome)  It would be very helpful if
someone from the Houston area could e-mail me privately with info about
schools in the northern suburbs.  I am presently in a large, progressive
district in the Atlanta suburbs.  We would like to zero in on schools
comparable to our present location.  TIA!
