One of my favorites is The Nativity by Judy Vivas--the biblical story
with her wonderful illustrations which lend a little humor (the Angel
Gabriel in combat boots and torn wings) with a poignancy unequal anywhere
in the pictures. The real birth--and the real boy baby Jesus, and then
that beautiful picture where Mary is sacked out and Joseph is glowing as
he holds the baby. Well that isn't truly advent--that is actually
Christmas--I do know the difference--so were you really wanting ADVENT
only stories--there is a great book on celebrations for the liturgical
year called To Dance with God by Gertrude Mueller Nelson--which might
give you some ideas. If you really want Christmas stories--do I have a
deal for you. Just email me and I will give you may favorites--I LOVE
