Attention Educators,

For those of you who have discovered and used the invaluable resources of
the Eisenhower National Clearinghouse for Mathematics and Science Education
<http://www.enc.org>, I am putting out a request that you contact your
Congress person WITHIN THE NEXT TWO WEEKS and let them know that it is
essential that funding be continued for this very worthwhile Department of
Ed. - funded program.

The Clearinghouse provides educators with access to information about K-12
curriculum math and science resources (currently over 5000 can be searched
using the Resource Finder by defining search fields such as grade level,
cost, subject, and many others), along with links to hundreds of pertinent
Internet sites for the educator.

Unless the people who are in charge of the funding appropriations hear from
each one of us, (such as: Senator Mark O. Hatfield, Chairman, Senate
Appropriations Committee, SH-711 Hart Senate Office Bldg., Washington, DC
20510-3701), another loss will be felt by those of us who are desperately
working to improve the teaching and learning of math and science in our
country.
