I'm working on globally editing my subject headings in
Winnebago, and am wondering what the official rule is for
punctuation at the end of parenthesis. For example, most
records have no punctuation: Death (Biology)
but some of them do: DDT (Insecticide).

Does anyone know which way is correct? I thought that they ALL
got a period at the end, but maybe not. Most do not have the
period after the parenthesis. The majority of the records were
done by Follett's retro service, but some came from other
places.
