First of all, thanks to the many people who helped me by answering my question. I had asked for a book title which was discussed at the AASL meeting at the ALA conference. It dealt with a mouse who learned how to read and saved her family as a result. The book is called _The School Mouse_ by Dick King-Smith. When I sent out this message, I knew I'd get an answer. The first one came in less than an hour after I'd sent out my message. Thanks again for the prompt answers. ************************************************************************** Nancy Johnson * Those who do--do. Library Media Specialist * Those who can't--teach.
