Well, group, I just learned a valuable lesson. When a lot of "fun" or test messages have been posted (not of a particularly professional nature), I have never objected because I just delete and go on if I don't want to deal with them. And I have enjoyed the "chit-chat" feeling. My thinking when people complained was, "What's the big deal? -- just delete and read what you like." WRONG! My husband just signed on to a commercial internet provider. It says he has a certain amount of memory for his messages and ANY AMOUNT OVER that assigned amount will cost .50 per *something* -- I forgot the exact amount of extra memory segments -- but the extra memory required to hold those overflow messages will be charged to his account. Until I read the rules concerning that provider, I did not really understand how the extra charges work. I will be *much* more careful to stay on topic and delete any unnecessary lines from now on. I will also reduce the size of my sig file so I won't contribute to overflow in someone else's box. How are YOU charged for time online? If you will reply directly to me, I will post a HIT. We at TENET are fortunate to pay only $5.00 per year. Some are limited to 45 minutes per day, but we are no longer limited where I live because we are now a local call to Lubbock (nearest "large" city).
