A big thanks for all the PowerPoint Ideas. I am putting them in a PowerPoint
presentation.

Attached (I hope) is the list of ideas people sent in.

If you are going to give out instructions on how to use it please be sure
to clarify the differences in versions. I also think that it is helpful
to spend some time on the outline--so much can be done in there. Good
luck.

We have several teachers who use the Quicktake digital camera to take
pictures during a "typical" school day. They then use Powerpoint to tell
about their classroom schedule using the pictures for parents during PTA
open house. It keep them from having to tell the same thing over and over
to each group of parents. They simply run the show non stop for the entire
evening. Most parents are dazzled!

My mother recently attended a conference where the students did a
multimedia history presentation using Powerpoint. She said it looked
quite professional and the kids were excited about it because of the hard
work that went into it.

I use PowerPoint in my 4th-5th grade classroom in Albany, OR USA. We
the
difference -- I'm sure you already have foune some of those special effects to
really get to them. Just remember, they might pay more attention to the
effects and not as much to the material. It is a chance you must learn to
deal with.

I also teach educators use of PowerPoint. Some possible ideas:
  1. Use slide presentation as back to school orientation for parents about
what you teach, grading scale, behavior rules, etc.
  2. Show intro. to unit-- my intro to PowerPoint class is made on PPt. with
intro., agenes, birthdays,
etc. over this system. Next year, we would like to begin having students
develop presentations (such as self-esteem building projects) using
Powerpoint and have these displayed throughout the campus.
