Thanks for all your responses to my question about can't-do-without reference books for the elementary school library. Here's a sampling of replies: > Subject: > Re: best reference books > Date: > Wed, 15 May 1996 15:59:19 -0500 (CDT) > From: > Anne Marie Hollenbeck <hollenbe@tenet.edu> > To: > Sandwich Central School <scs@lr.net> > > > World Almanac and World Book Encyclopedia. > > Anne Hollenbeck > St. Mark Catholic School > Plano, TX > hollenbe@tenet.edu > Subject: > Re: best reference books > Date: > Wed, 15 May 1996 20:18:01 -0400 (EDT) > From: > Thomas - Madgelene <madgthom@umd5.umd.edu> > To: > Sandwich Central School <scs@LR.NET> > > > Lands and Peoples is an enecylcopedia of continents and countries I feel > is a necessity. International Wildlife Foundation's set on endangered species is also very useful. Kane's Facts about the States/Presidents (not sure of the exact title) were "bibles" for our enrichment teacher.
