I finally have an answer to assist us in helping to
monitor Internet use. The software PC Anywhere will allow
you to call a student's computer station up onto your
monitor to see what they are doing. You can also transpose
your station onto theirs to assist in training or
demonstrating new software. This software seems to have a
proven track record. It has been on the market for some
time, now. It is available in probably any retail store (is
quite common). Cost is in the range of $130.00 per station.
My technician agreed to posting his e-mail address and he
will gladly answer any questions. He is a bit more
knowledgeable than I am on the tech end. His address:

I will continue Snag-It in conjunction with this
monitoring program, as after a 30-day valuative trial
period, I found it made students somewhat accountable for
their Internet use. Many also found it helpful to come back
and request their search history to find a site they used
          before, but did not bookmark.
Hope this helps some of you.
