This is my second posting. My first only received three responses. I know there must be more Missouri people out there than that. I am doing informal research for a grant proposal. Please respond to me directly about the following questions: 1. Do you participate in the Mark Twain reading program sponsored by the Missouri Association of School Librarians? 2. If yes, do you promote the program a little (buy the books), somewhat (show the video, pass out bookmarks, display the poster), alot (buy multiple copies, do book talks, offer incentives to readers, encourage teachers to read aloud, give extra credit, organize reading units based on the 20 nominees)??? 3. What kind of support do you receive from teachers in any of the above situations? 4. What kind of response have you witnessed from the students regarding the various categories of promotion? 5. Have you seen any increase in library circulation after you have promoted the program alot? To the three people who previously responded, thanks so much for your help.
