Sister MV has put it succinctly and accurately. I am sure that almost all of us who are semi-addicted to LM_NET see it as both a personal and professional meeting of the highest kind -- with new ideas and interest always keeping up with the most exciting profession. As for what "others" might construe about what we post... in the past 2 weeks I have met at least 6 NON-librarians who read LM_NET, and who are always impressed by the amazing level of expertise, cooperative sharing, and personal caring for others that is constantly demonstrated here. I certainly consider this time as more professionally profitable than the same amount of time spent straightening shelves, or chasing down overdues, or even changing bulbs in projectors( all part of my *job*, but not nearly as interesting or fulfilling). long live LM_NET's community -- no matter how/when/where/ or even why we participate!
