Our high school is in the process of developing the long and detailed application to be accredited to offer the International Baccalaureate program. I am in the process of visiting the IB schools in my area, but would really appreciate receiving information, guidance, lists of "do's and don'ts", checklists, resources lists, etc. from library media specialists/teacher-librarians, and teachers of the English, History, General Science and Biology, Mathematics, Theory of Knowledge courses! Please respond to me directly at stewardk@pschools.st-albert.ab.ca or use the phone or snailmail info in the "signature" block. The whole process seems a daunting amount of work, but an exciting opportunity to work collaboratively with teachers and administrators to reach school/curricular goals and objectives -- surely a reaffirmation of the role of teacher-librarian. Hope some of you out there can help me carry out the task and "carry on the crusade" for teacher-librarianship! TIA, and I'm certainly willing to forward/share any info I receive. ------------------------------- Kaye Steward Teacher Librarian Bellerose Composite High School 49 Giroux Road St.Albert, Alberta Canada T8N 1M8 (403)460-8490 -------------------------------
