use of IRC

This week our school have finally come on-line.  We were able to do
this through a grant obtained by our reading specialist. It is a
multiculturism grant and we hope to communicate with others via the
internet.

Originally the idea was to use e-mail, but I was wondering if anyone
has used the IRC  (an invite channel) to have discussions with other
schools. Please send replies to our school at rjschool@atcon.com. We
are a P-9 rural school in Nova Scotia, with about 230 students.
