The Arlington Central School District anticipates three openings for the 96/97
school year for LIBRARY MEDIA SPECIALIST.

-Middle School (1 opening):  Responsible for student instruction, collection
development and supervision of staff.

-Elementary School (2 openings):  Responsible for student instruction and
collection development.

All candidiates must have NYS Library Media Specialist certification and possess
M.S. degree in Library Science.  Must be computer literate with the use of
technology in library sciences.

*The Arlington School District is located in the Hudson Valley 70 miles north of
New York City, and 70 miles south of Albany.  The area served by the school
district is primarily suburban, encompassing 114 square miles.  The educational
system serves 8,000 students and utilizes 11 school buildings.  The service
sector, including education and government, is a major employer of district
residents.  Nearby State parks, mountains, lakes and historical sites make the
Arlington area a desirable community in which to work and live.
