Please pardon duplications PRESS RELEASE Young Adult Library Services Association For Immediate Release Contact: Linda Waddle 800-545-2433 x4391 or lwaddle@ala.org SECOND ANNUAL YALSA SILENT AUCTION TO BE HELD IN NEW YORK CITY The second annual silent auction sponsored by the Young Adult Library Services Association (YALSA) will be held at the YALSA Membership Reception during the ALA Annual Conference in New York City. The reception and silent auction are scheduled for Monday, July 8, 6-8 pm, at the Sheraton New York, Imperial Ballroom B. The YALSA Membership Committee is requesting donations from members and friends. The donation can be anything of interest to librarians who work with young adults. Suggestions include: promotional items from library programs and services, workshop plans, policies and procedures for young adults, publications, bibliographies, author-autographed books and photos , videos, cd-roms, computer programs, original artwork, subscriptions to magazines, lunch or dinner with an author or producer or YALSA notable Donations and a memo stating their estimated cost can be sent to: Beryl Eber, YALSA Silent Auction, New York Public Library, 20 W. 53rd Street, New York, New York, 10019-6185. Proceeds will go to the YALSA Special Activity Fund which is used to support YALSA's continuing efforts to improve library service to young adults in school and public libraries.
