Esther, The Long Island RR has various stops in NYC. One is in Jamaica, Queens, and another is in Penn Station, a long hop, skip and jump from the Javits Center. The phone number for the LIRR is: (718) 217- 5477. Different lines of the LIRR end in different places, so the LIRR might be your best bet for information. Here are two websites with information for ALA goers, the first is run by ALA and is at http://www.alanyc.org and the other is run by H.W. Wilson and is at http://www.hwwilson.com/newyork.html and both sites have links to each other. The ALA site has more links, while the Wilson site has more short descriptions of places in NYC. See you in New York, Dan Robinson H.W. Wilson Company Bronx, NY drobinson@info.hwwilson.com > Angelino in need of NY area information!
