CONTINUING EDUCATION SEMINAR (still open) The University of Texas at Austin Graduate School of Library and Information Science is hosting the following seminar on School Library Leadership, at the Red Lion Hotel in Austin, Texas. The speakers for the seminar will be Dr. Brooke Sheldon, Dr. Blanche Woolls, Julie Walker, and Dr. Mary Moore. LIBRARY AND INFORMATION LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE 1997: LEADERSHIP IN THE SCHOOL LIBRARY November 15-16, 1996 Cost: $250.00 Purpose: This workshop is designed to enable you to: Gain insights on the nature of leadership, and how to develop your innate leadership skills; Assess your individual leadership strengths and potential; Learn to incorporate strategic planning and the concepts of leadership into your daily routines; Improve communication and networking skills with administrators, faculty, parents, and the community; Market the value of your services; Develop an action plan for your library.
