Children's Authors at Texas Book Festival

The First Annual Texas Book Festival will be held Friday
November 15 through Sunday November 17 at the Capitol in
Austin. Many Texas authors of books for children and young
adults will be speaking, reading their work, and
autographing their books. This is a rare opportunity to
meet many of the state's best writers in one location. It
will also offer an opportunity to do some early holiday
shopping! Proceeds from the Festival will benefit Texas
public libraries. For additional information on events call
the Festival office at 512-463-6655. All events on Saturday
and Sunday are free. Booths and exhibits will be on
Congress Ave. from 15th Street to MLK. Free parking is
available in state parking lots and garages around the
Capitol.
