Target: Numbers in children's lit

I've decided that I want to do some sort of contest for Children's Book
Week. It would be combination trivia and math contest. I want to give
clues like: How many hats did Bartholomew Cubbins have? Add the number of
kittens that lost their mittens.

There's lots of "threes" like the Billy Goats, Bears and Little Pigs. Can
you give me some other ideas of numbers that come from picture books,
fairy tales, folk tales, Mother Goose rhymes and fiction books? I'll send
out a hit and the final product.
