                        NOTICE OF VACANCY

POSITION:           Supervisor, School Library System

 REPORTS TO:   Manager, Computer Services Center

WORK SITE:          SCT BOCES Campus, Building #10

BROAD DUTIES:  Supervise the school library automation and instructional
technology
                    programs (+/- 25 staff at seven component school
districts);
                    implement technology within K-12 instructional and
library
                    environments; develop and administer program budgets;
manage
                    resources, interview, select, supervise, train and
evaluate staff;
                    prepare and submit reports; administer collective
bargaining
                    agreements and Board of Education policy; other duties
as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:  -NYS certification as a School Administrator and
Supervisor;
     and
     -NYS certification as a School Media Specialist (Library);  and
                    -Three years experience as a School Librarian; and
                    -Ability to lead implementation and utilization of
technology within
                    K-12 instructional and library settings
     -Demonstrated training ability
     -Familiarity with instructional technology methods, libraries,
library
     automation and networking environments

SALARY RANGE:  $47,000-53,000 (prorated).  Based on related work
experience.
