A teckie type question

I've spent a couple of hours on this and then thought maybe someone could just
type it out to me and save me a couple more hours.  So thanks in advance if you
can help.

I have two teachers who want to scan their signature and then add it to email or
to Claris Word documents.  I've got it scanned and saved but I can get it to add
to eitehr email or Claris.  And I know it has to be simple but so far, I can't
find simple directions in manuals and trial and error hasn't worked.  Thanks.
