Target: Lesson Plans

I am a media specialist in a private Jewish day school. The middle school
teachers have asked my assistant in creating some lesson plans for the 7th
graders on the (very) broad topic of free will vs. responsibility /
censorship vs. propaganda / individual good vs. common good (etc.)  It is
such a broad topic and so full of possibilities, I thought I would pop
this request onto the net to get some help.

I thought about using some Star Trek episodes, Twilight Zone episodes,
books like Fahrenheit 451, etc. as themes or starting points.  I would
really appreciate any ideas you all might have.  Thanks in advance!!
