REF: "Not without my daughter"

I have a teacher who has used the film "Not with my daughter" with a social
studies class.  If you recall it's based on the true story of Betty
Mahmoody's attempts to flee Iran with her daughter.

We have been trying to find updated information of Betty Mahmoody and what
her life has been like since her 1988(?) flight from Iran.  Do any of you
have any information or sources that could help us?  I have done a search of
the net and have come up with little info.  We have not yet consulted
biobraphical information from our public library, but that would be our next
step.
