TARGET> HOW SCHOOL DISTRICTS CAN SAVE MONEY

Our large school district is experiencing a dramatic financial shortfall this
year and next.  Staff has been asked to brainstorm ideas on where savings could
be realized.  This must exclude salaries which, of course, is about 70% our
budget.  Realizing you do not know our particular situation to observe where
changes might be appropriate, I thought I would call my fellow school library
media specialists for a worldwide brainstorm on the subject in general.
Perhaps you've experienced a similar situation.  I'm open to theoretical as
well as practical ideas.

I think it would be fabulous if I could present bunches of ideas as an example
of the collective information power of our group!

If there are enough responses and if there is expressed interest, I will post a
