EL: old farmers almanac

Hi.. a fourth grade teacher is interested in having his kids do an almanac,
like Ben Franklins, or maybe a colonial newspaper.  I have search ERIC,
found one lesson plan, but it wasn't very exciting, and I have browsed
Colonial Williamsburg site, very informational. Does anyone know of any web
sites that give examples of old newspapers or anything on the Old Farmer's
ALmanac of 1776?? TIA  bev
