Frank,

I read your post with interest.  A number of years ago, I complained
about pain in my elbow.  It turned out to be a severe case of
tendonitis.  The doctor asked what I did, and when I told him I was a
librarian, he said the injury was probably caused by the constant motion
and strain of shelving books.  I had my arm in a sling for 2 weeks so I
would stop using the arm long enough to rest the tendons.
