I would like to initiate a dialogue from users of Accelerated Reader-type
programs concerning the article in this month's <School Library Journal.>
 There is a parent in my school (a volunteer) who is really sold on the
idea after moving from Texas.   I felt that the article made some
excellent points: based on extrinsic rewards, selection skewed towards
purchase of those materials, etc.   Any comments?
