LM_NET: Library Media Networking
After visiting an exhibit of art by Jerry Pinkney and Brian Pinkney, I
would very much like to obtain either the stamps or a picture of the stamps
Jerry Pinkney created for the US postal system in the late 1970s (I think).
They were part of the African American Heroes series. Also am interested
in obtaining the stamps depicting Bill Pickett (the first issue actually
used his brother's image; but the corrected version was Bill). Pickett is
the subject of a book illustrated by Brian Pickett and written by Andrea
Pinkney. Any suggestions as to where I might find photographs (or the
actual stamps) would be greatly appreciated.
