Thanksgiving in Canada

There is a fifth grade teacher who wants to compare how Thanksgiving is
celebrated in Canada versus the United States. How do Canadians celebrate
Thanksgiving?  Do you have any historical information on how your
Thanksgiving celebration got started, traditional customs, favorite
"Thanksgiving" foods, parades, ball games, decorations, etc?  We have tried
looking in all our reference sources with no luck!
