I can't resist sharing 2 short library related incidents that made my day in the past: A German exchange student who had never heard of the Dewey system--we later discovered the German system of classification is basically non- existant--and after a quick explanation of how it works, she responded, "Wow, this really makes it easy!" The other comes from my college days while helping some students from Thailand in the library. One said to me: "Librarians just have to know about everything, don't they?" Of course, I chuckle about the student who told me one day that he'd always heard that woman's work is never done and that I was in real trouble because a librarian's work is never done either! __/\/\/\____/\/\____/\__/\__/\/\____/\/\/\____/\/\____/\/\___/\ Janet Hofstetter, librarian California High School email: 1501 W.
