Target:middle school & election

I hope this question hasn't been asked as I've been set for no mail for
the past couple of weeks.

Does anyone know of any good materials to use for eighth graders to study
the presidential election?  They'd like to start an interdisciplinary
unit soon and look at past trends and current practices and issues.
