I am the media specialist at a private K-8 school. We are in the process
of planning a library for grades K-12. (We hope to add a high school). At
present we have about 490 students, 11,000 volumes, and 6 computer
terminals, but we want to plan for as many as 900 students. What
suggestions do you have for a library that would house all of these grades?
What would be the best way to separate the younger and older students?
Where can I look for layout suggestions that would include magazines, work
area, equipment, audio-visual, computers, office space, etc. Most of the
layouts I have seen are for elementary grades only, etc. If anyone has
layouts you could fax or mail me, I would be grateful. Any suggestions you
have would be appreciated!
