Our school district is about to install CD ROM servers in our media centers. These will deliver reference materials like Primary Search (possibly) and may deliver other software CD-ROMs which otherwise might be installed on hard drives. Apparently the systems would eventually be capable of holding (eventually) 30 CD-ROMs. We are wondering a: who has CD ROM servers in their elementary schools and what is placed on them? b: is it a good idea for classroom computers to have individual cd-rom drives even if we have this marvelous system? Since we wouldnšt want to buy site licenses for every little program that comes along wouldnšt they still need them in the classroom? c: are all cd roms networkable? d: what else do we need to think about? Išll post a hit if I get some responses sent to me. TIA. Jan Ziglin janicez@execpc.com
