Newsgroups: va-pen.mailing-list.lm_net Path: lmccloud From: lmccloud@pen.k12.va.us (Lorna J. McCloud) Subject: TECH: I need to buy a PC for home! Message-ID: <Dyt5uz.219H@pen.k12.va.us> Date: Sat, 5 Oct 1996 15:04:11 GMT Organization: Virginia's Public Education Network I have finally given up on my old 386SX. I HAVE to get something new, because I want to use it at home to work on. So...here we go...whould I buy a brand name, or mail order, or have it built? I know exactly what specs I want, I just can't decide what to buy! I have ruled out Packard Bell, for one, though. Have you had really good experiences with having one built or mail order? If I buy brands, I will probably stick to Dell, Gateway, Compaq, AST, or Acer, but they all are more expensive... Hoping to hear from lots of you--please reply to my personal email!
