A couple of years ago the counselor was doing a unit on safety with the
kindergartners.  At the same time, I was working with them on the care
of books.  In reviewing with them some of the rules to remember on book
care, one little girl raised her hand.  When I called on her, she very
solemnly answered "Never, never, never give your book to a stranger."
How's that for integrated curriculum?
