Great idea Linda. I know there are other LMSs who have done this also so I hope you will get lots of ideas. Three other areas you might consider: 1) We are focusing on teaching students a holistic information skills process but this idea is very different from what parents learned in their schooling. You might consider posting your information skills model and some ideas for ways parents could translate this into their assistance in evenings when they help with homework. 2) More and more parents have computer workstations at home. If they can get your web site then they have electronic access to information. You might create a reference section that would point them to other web sites that have good ready reference. 3) Lists of new books are always good. How about adding new CDs and videos? How did you make the shift? Many curricula are written with "benchmarks" today, Vivian. I think it would help you and others if some of the LM_NETers who use benchmarks would post a few examples. Can I persuade a few of you to share a benchmark and then a short description of a task or activity that illustrates a connection?
