Sorry this Hit has taken so long to post. It was ready in late June (took
THAT long because of computer problems), but I figured not many would see
it due to summer recess.

I have used the company TAPE WORLD in Butler, PA for over 5 years. They
are wonderful! I buy all my video and audio tapes through them. You can
get 30, 60, 90, 120,& 160 minute videocassettes. I don't have their phone
# here at home, but they do have an 800# that you should be able to get
from telephone information.

I recently asked them about 15 minute tapes and their advice was to use
the 30 minute ones. The price difference was negligable. Since the
cassette case cost the same for all length, the only difference is in the
cost of the tape - which isn't much from 15 to 30 minutes.

I can't stress enough how pleased I have been with this company. They
ship very promptly and their prices are lower than Wal Mart! (Of course
you can't get anything but T-120s at Wal Mart.) Tell 'em I sent you -
maybe I'll get a discount!! (M. Davis)

We get these tapes (in 15, 30, 60, and 120 minute lengths) from
a local camera store that also sells AV equipment. I'd advise you to
check
with the vendors you use for AV equipment. If all else fails, write me
back and I'll send you the address of the local store that we use!

We just ordered shorter video tape from Nation Video Tape Co.
(206)284-3340 or FAX (206)284-7440 or (800)254-5550 Jeff Anderson was
most helpful. We had the tapes in less than a week. They are located in
Seattle Washington address is 4200 23rd Ave. W., 1st floor. Seatle Wa

try the Highsmith catalog

I use Media Visions 1-800-628-3556
I purchase 20 vidoe tapes for student productions. The cost is a little
over 100 each. They have 15, 20, 30, 45, 60 minute videos also. Another
company is Arrow American Video, 1-800-658-8474 They have 5,10, 15 etc.
etc. minute videos. No labels, no cases included.
---------------------------
I order from this company. They have all sizes of videos. I don't have a
number or catalog; I just look up my old order and copy it.
U.S. Magnetics Corp., 1411 Round Table Dr., Dallas, TX 75247
I found a place which sells recycled video tapes. I believe they get
donations from corporations, etc., and the tapes are cleaned, degaussed
and
rewound by mentally retarded adults. I have ordered from this company for
the past 3 years. I usually get 2-3 bad tapes (usually cases are warped)
in
the the box but for the cost, I don't mind pitching them. 30 min. tapes
run
$.70 each, 60 min tapes run $.90 and 120 min tapes run $1.20. You do
have to
buy a case of 100 tapes.
------------------------
Media Line 1-800-359-4607 If you call, they can send you a price
list.
-------------------------
Meanwhile, I've discovered I can make use of those sample tapes that
come my way occasionally. They are usually the 15 or 20-minute tapes, and
a piece of Scotch tape over the write-protect spot seems to work fine.

Thanks to all who wrote with names, addresses and phone numbers!
