I had asked back before school ended about newspapers in the elementary schools( to be used by fourth graders as a news sources for daily news broadcasts). Here are the few responses I received: _________________________ USA is the only newspaper we use. You could also tape news programs through your local PBS channels for free. Phyllis _________________________ What about "News Currents"? This is a filmstrip that comes out weekly with about 20 different topics on it. There is a paper script furnished with the facts about each topic. It's news from mostly the US, but also includes world happenings. My subscription was $99/year. The AMerican Newspaper Publisher's Association Foundation (may have another name--check Gale's Dir. of Org) has NIE Chair, Betty Sullivan.
