Thanks to all who responded with information about a career study for middle school. I haven't had time to check all of these out. I also found that doing a search on specific career fields was a little easier. http://www.careermag.com/ (Career Magazine) http://www.careermosaic.com/ (Career Mosaic) http://www.careermag.com/careermag (NCS Career Magazine) http://www.careerpath.com (Career Path) Julie, the only web sites I have found (Career Web and Catapult) have mostly info on jobs. http://www.careermosaic.com http://www.occ.com http://www.careermag.com/careermag http://helpwanted.com http://www.monster.com http://www.iquest.net/occ http://www.jobweb.com http://www.nationjob.com If you have access to America Online you can GoTo Keyword and type in "careers". You will see an occupational database. This is basically set up in much the same way as the Occupational Outlook Handbook. Also on America Online you can check out Hoover Business Resources. Here you will find information company profiles as well as industry profiles. Career Information Ask-an-Expert http://www.usa.net/~pitsco/pitsco/ask.html The USGPO publication Occupational Outlook Handbook is pretty standard for career info. It's up-to-date (pub. biennielly) and pretty accurate. You have to pre-pay for anything you order from USGPO, although I keep standing orders for print. off. stuff through my periodical subscription service so I don't have to hassle with it.
