Lizbeth, Last year I posed the same question when my supt. said we could only buy short shelves to replace old metal ones. But, thanks to people on lm_net, I found out otherwise (unless there are stricter MI laws). The short shelves are necessity for displays and reference, but not general collections. Somewhere I have copies of what I received. If you want them, let me know and I will try to find them and send or fax you copies.
